AFDA'S TRAINING AIMS:

the audience/the market.

Core Course facilitates the "thinking" and the disciplines en-
able the "how to do."
- Graduates are trained to a level that facilitates a profitable
and sustainable career in the entertainment industry.
- Trained to service, grow and manufacture indigenous cultural
products and commodities for the internal market.
COURSE OUTCOME EXPECTATION:
- Students are encouraged to originate intellectual property for
exploitation in the industry and to develop themselves as em-
ployment providers and entertainment and cultural entrepreneurs
of the future.
- AFDA are seeking out a "contemporary youth" channel of ongoing
cultural understanding, and discovery and ultimately enrichment
between various African Countries through learning, training and
cultural narrative production process.

and the future cultural entrepreneurs of Africa, a generation
that is able to re-annex and own the manufacture of African
Youth Culture for dissemination and sale to the rest of the
world.

each country, as well as allow them to navigate specific and
continental issues and concepts relevant to their time and age.
- AFDA hope to achieve the above through a formal structuring of
a collaborative cultural narrative project between various Afri-
can Countries.
- This is an annual-ongoing exercise that seeks out students
from various African countries, to spend their Honour's year at
AFDA, where they will be given the opportunity to develop and
produce a cultural narrative, focusing on youth culture in the
various countries.
- AFDA, with their track record for excellence in training,
manufacture of award winning films and their 96% placement of
honours students in the industry, are able to offer a fully ac-
credited honours programme and structured collaborative learning
environment with a measured and achievable outcome of a broad-
cast standard production.
- The process is intended to create an extended learning envi-
ronment in which up and coming African film-makers are able to
collaborate, investigate, explore and experience one another's
cultures and lives, and in so doing create pathways of under-
standing and relationships that serve the greater good of Af-
rica. AFDA believe that this process will contribute to the re-
