Management of Reproductive Health Programmes

What will you learn?
The course will enable you to improve your knowledge and develop your
skills to plan, manage and evaluate effective sexual and reproductive
health programmes.

Who should come?
Public and private sector professionals with responsibility for plan-
ning, financing, implementing and evaluating reproductive health pro-
grammes. Participants from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern
Europe and Eurasia will find the material most relevant.

Decentralised Management and Health

What will you learn?
The course will enable you to improve your capacity to analyse policy
and to develop strategic and operational skills in management and
planning in appropriate systems of decentralisation.

Who should come?
Public and private health sector professionals involved in the proc-
ess of decentralisation. Participants from low and middle-income
countries will find the course most relevant.

Quality Improvement in Health Care

What will you learn?
The course will review current approaches to quality management and
enable you to develop skills in implementing quality improvement pro-
grammes for health services.

Who should come?
All health professionals, planners and managers working in or having
responsibility for the quality of health care in institutional or
community settings in low or middle-income countries. Participants
from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Eurasia will
find the material most relevant. Prior familiarity with quality sys-
tems is not required.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Entry requirements
Practical fluency in English will be necessary. A maximum of 20 par-
ticipants and a minimum of 6 is envisaged for each of these courses.
There may be opportunities for joint study across the three courses.

Tuition fees
The courses will be based at the Nuffield Institute in Leeds, England
with visits to relevant sites. The cost of each course will be GBP
2,500 including cost of site visits and all course materials, but ex-
cluding accommodation and meals. We will require a deposit of GBP
1,000 to reach us by 21 May 2001 in order to guarantee a place on
your chosen course, and the full fee must be paid before the course
begins.
