AFRO-NETS Moderation
--------------------

Dear Colleagues,

unexpectedly I had to go on 'safari' last Friday into an area where there
is no telephone access. Therefore some postings to the list have not been
processed and come as a bulk today. In future to avoid this delay I shall
share the moderation of the list with my colleague Dr. Brian Pazvakavambwa.
Brian is the Regional Co-ordinator for the GTZ-supported Health Systems
Research Project in the Southern Africa Region. His e-mail is:
bpazva@harare.iafrica.com
He will sign his comments with [BP Mod.]

By the way, those who are travelling a lot especially in Africa and happen
to have a CompuServe account: in each town of the world where there is an
international airport there is a local access number to SITA, the network
used by airlines. You can use that number to connect to CompuServe via CIS3
(using the SCITOR log-in script) and will get a PPP Internet connection
which you can also use to log into your home Internet Service Provider (ISP)
to receive and send mail. In some countries this is an official CompuServe
access, in others not but it works in most, e.g. Cape Town offers you reliable
28 800 bps access, Lusaka only 9 600 and only in one out of 5 trials.

Regards,
