Introduction of WAWA Network

Dear AFRO-NETTERS,
Many greetings to you. We are partner organization of NOVIB. The name
of our organization is WAWA (We Are Women Activists) Network, who ad-
vocates for women's participation in decision-making at all levels of
civil society and government. We also advocate for peace and human
rights especially women's rights. The network consists of 23 member
organizations. One of our objectives is:
* To establish sustainable cooperation framework and open dialogue
with civil society organizations, government institutions and donors,
particularly challenges and problems facing women in their environ-
ment.
FGM is one of the problems that Somali women met in their environ-
ment. We have member organizations that are combating for the elimi-
nation of FGM. We would like your collaboration and support on human
rights violations especially FGM.
We would like also to share with you the experiences and information
that you have in the issue. We would appreciate if you kindly send
your ideas and responses to us as soon as possible
