New Course in Theological Colleges in India -'Christian Ministry in the context of HIV&AIDS' HIV&AIDS is a growing pandemic that needs attention of all the communities in India. Christian communities and congregations always pioneered and lead health care initiatives in India for many decades now. To further get the churches address the issue of HIV&AIDS and equip the congregations lead the care and support for the affected and the infected people, there is an immediate need in reaching the theological colleges that train the future Church leaders. CANA recognised the importance of influencing and equipping the Theological Colleges in India, committed itself to develop a Syllabus on 'Christian Ministry in the context of HIV&AIDS'.
A National consultation on the proposed Syllabus will be attended by 30 faculty members from 30 agreed partner theological colleges. The goal of the consultation is to present the proposed Syllabus before the participants and equip those theological trainers to offer the programme in their respective colleges from this academic year 2008-2009. This new course, 'Christian Ministry in the Context of HIV/AIDS' will equip the theological students in India get appropriate training during their Theological Education.
