NACO has procured PEP drugs and supplied to the states. However, they mostly remain confined to the storerooms or handful of institutions. Neither the service providers nor administrators are aware of the situation. The PEP medicine kit needs to be made available and accessible round the clock at each and every health care facility.
Moreover PEP should also be offered to victims of sexual assault reporting to health care institutions.
