PubMed Retrieval System (2)
---------------------------

Dear Colleagues,

sorry for the unwanted characters (=91 instead of '; =20 instead of a
carriage return) in my previous message.

This is to encourage people with e-mail access only to make use of the
announced 'PubMed' system via HealthNet's GETWEB service. To retrieve
the search page send an e-mail message to:

getweb@usa.healthnet.org
(leave the subject line empty and in the body of the message type):

get http://www4.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed
end

As result you will receive the following plain text copy of the PubMed
WEB page (extract):

To retrieve an abstract of the first article (Wesley AG . .) send
another message to the getweb server, requesting the Reference [2]:

get http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/htbin-post/Entrez/query?uid=8693\\
374&form=6&db=m&Dopt=r
end

You will receive the requested abstracts with your next e-mail. You
can request several abstracts at the same time by starting each time
a new line with
get http:// . . . .

and finishing with 'end' in the last line.

Not as comfortable as with real time internet access but an alternative
if you have e-mail only.
