RFI: Sanitation studies among pastoral/nomadic peoples
------------------------------------------------------
Dear Friends,
I am looking for any studies done among pastoral and/or nomadic
peoples outside Uganda, in Eastern or Southern Africa, espe-
cially in Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, or beyond the region,
regarding their water, sanitation and hygiene practices, includ-
ing cultural aspects of human excreta disposal.
Please, direct me to any ethnographic, cross-sectional or any
other suitable studies done, past or in more recent time. My in-
terest is in comparing with a study we did last year in the
Karamoja Region of Uganda, but had no readily available litera-
ture.
Sharing experiences in appropriate interventions and/or good
practices, as well as any lessons learnt, would be particularly
welcome.
