E-DRUG: Antibiotic policy for resource poor settings (3)
-------------------------------------------------
In reply to Dr Saluja's request.
Antibiotic resistance is an important issue in countries where people buy small quantities/doses of antibiotics at a time and may break a course or be unable to afford sufficient to complete a course and effect cure. In India I have been shown student projects which demonstrate high and concerning rates of antibiotic resistance, far greater than I have seen in well resourced countries.
If antibiotics were only available/packaged as whole courses then this may help.
