E-drug: Balms for the poor
--------------------------
E-drug readers might want to take a look at an interesting article
published in this week's The Economist magazine (14 August 1999)
entitled "Balms for the poor" pp.63-64. It summarizes quite nicely
some of the controversial issues we've read about in the digest lately,
ie: intellectual property rights and the development of new drugs and
the growing gap of research and development on diseases in rich vs. poor
countries.
