E-DRUG: clinical questions

E-drug: clinical questions
--------------------------

Dear E-druggers,

Referrng to Zaneta Nikolovska's clinical question, I would suggest
that interested medically qualified E-druggers join the Clinical Q&A
list run by the Canadian Medical Association and post you question
about the 18 month old child on that list. Here is the information
about how to join:

ABOUT CLINICAL Q&A

The purpose of this mailing list is the professional discussion of
diagnosis and treatment. It is intended as an informal mechanism for
rapid and far-reaching consultation between physicians about unusual
or difficult cases and will be especially useful when the source of an
answer cannot be predicted.

We request that all case discussions respect the confidentiality of
the patient, and that no identifying details such as names or patient
ID numbers be disclosed.

SUBSCRIBING TO CLINICAL Q&A

Subscription to Clinical Q&A is restricted to licensed physicians.

North American physicians:
To subscribe send a signed letter on your professional letterhead that
provides your email address and one of: CMA membership number,
licensure number or DEA number. Send the letter by mail or fax to
Dawna Ramsay, CMA Online.

Regular mail: Fax:
Publications Department 613 523-0937
Canadian Medical Association
PO Box 8650
Ottawa ON K1G 0G8

Physicians outside North America:
Please send a letter as above, but please include as well a photocopy
of your licensure certificate or medical school diploma. You may mark
this photocopy as "VOID" but please make sure it remains legible.

All materials will remain confidential.

Once a physician's credentials have been verified and they are on the
list, he or she may reccommend others for addition to the list. It is
assumed that the members of CLINICAL will reccommend for addition only
colleagues who qualify. Physicians referred by CLINICAL members will
be added to the list without the above verification process. When
referring a colleague, please provide their name, email address and
some professional information for filing purposes.

USING CLINICAL Q&A

To post a message to the mailing list, send it to the list's e-mail
address:

clinical@mail1.bellglobal.com

Questions and replies should all be posted to this address, unless you
want to keep your discussion private, in which case you should take up
email correspondance directly with the other party.

Note that all messages posted to clinical@mail1.bellglobal.com are
sent to all members of the discussion group. Note also that the list
server has been configured so that the "reply" address attached to the
messages is the list address. This means that if you use the "reply
to" function of your email package you will be posting back to the
list. If you want to reply to the original sender you will have to do
so manually

Administrative commands:

For help on administrative commands, send a message to
clinical-request@mail1.bellglobal.com with the word "help" in the
SUBJECT
of the message.
