E-DRUG: confusions on prescription serving (4)
----------------------------------------------
Dear E-druggers,
I think these signs & symbols are all cultural specific. Like in Nepal, we
have seen doctors are writing prescriptions 1-X-1, meaning 1 in morning and
1 in night (X stands for no drugs in between). You may see like 0-0-0, it
denotes three tablets in a day (0 symbolises for a tablet). So there are
many ways prescriptions are written. I do agree that these all signs &
symbols can create confusion while dispensing the medication if the
dispenser is not aware of the symbolic intention of the precriber.
