E-DRUG: Drug alert from WHO
-----------------------------------------
STAT has recently reported that WHO has issued a Drug Alert about cancer products found in Uganda.
The World Health Organization warned that counterfeit versions of two cancer medicines - Avastin and Sutent - were discovered last month by authorities in Uganda.
According to this notice

in both cases, the medicines are being sold in plastic bottles containing blue and grey tablets; however, genuine Sutent is available only as gelatin capsules, while Avastin is available only as an injectable.

It is important to know- is Uganda the only country where these falsified products are being circulated.
