With respect to generic pharmaceutical products, you might want to contact Management Sciences for Health dmp@msh.org and their website at [http://www.msh.org](http://www.msh.org), who conduct this exercise annually. They tend to target known suppliers of these products, and by so doing restrict the range (otherwise you fall into the trap of trying to compare pears and apples). International price comparisons, as a subject, has been debated over e-drug in the past, and maybe the moderator would be so kind as to provide you with an overview of the results of the debate.
