E-DRUG: Lancet paper on medicine prices, availability, and affordability in 36 countries (5)
----------------------------------------------
Hi,
Marg has asked "What stops governments from acting on the evidence?" to improve the medicine scenerio in respective countries.
My truthful answer is "grease" from the pharmaceutical industry.
Who otherwise will not heed to the scientific advice for the welfare of own countrymen?
The Governments are meant to subserve the interest of its citizenry. It is unfortunate that the Governments rather than discharging the wanted duties are merely existing to "govern" people!
