E-DRUG: Patent expiry dates?
-----------------------------

Dear Sir, [how many female E-druggers would we have? WB]

Kindly send me the list of the drugs going off-patent by 2005.
or let me know about some website where I can find it.

Thanking You,

[Simple question, difficult answer... Patents are national, not inter-
national. So you will always have to ask the national patents office (for a fee,
I assume).

Under TRIPS, other WTO countries have to allow 20 years of protection
from date of original patent. But original countries can give longer
than 20 years of patent protection.

If anyone has seen a good patent expiry website, please provide the address!
WB]
