E-DRUG: proposed WHO EML changes 2005 (2)

Dear E-druggers,
I am concerned about the deletion of polygeline in the WHO EML during the
next 14th Expert Committee.
In the WHO Model Formulary 2004, section of Plasma Substitutes, you find 2
products Polygeline and Dextran 70.
First Polygeline is one of the 34 proposed deletions
Secondly BBraun for several reasons has decided to discountinue the
production of dextran 70 in NaCl 0.9% and switch over to supply them
customers with 2 alternatives Gelofusine(modified Fluid Gelatin) and
Hemohes(hydroxyethyl Starch).
It seems that those 2 alternatives are not in the 8 applications for New Essential Medecines list.
What product will replace them?
