I would like to receive some information/comments on the work of a
traditional healer whose name is Tran Khuong Dan and who has apparently
succeeded in developing an effective syrupy concoction of plants that
appears to cure opium and heroin addiction. The name of his product is
known as "Heantos".

According to Time-Asia's web page
<http://pathfinder.com/time/magazine/1997/int/971222/heroin.html>, his work
has received the support of UNDP, U.S. National Institute of Drug Abuse,
and Johns Hopkins University among others.

Does anyone know about the concoction? To what extent is it effective
against heroin addiction? How long is a cure? What about other Vietnamese
traditional medicines like "Vinantidic" and "Hufusa", which are also said
to treat heavy-drug addiction?

Thank you very much for your comments.
