E-DRUG: technical correction on getting files from E-Drug

Dear E-druggers,

In my enthusiasm I forgot that with the "get e-drug <filename>" instruction,
Internet will only allow you to receive 7-bit, ASCII files. Therefore you
will probably experience problems if you try to download the
whoed026.doc or whoed026.wp5 files (these are 8-bit, binary files).

It would be possible to UUENCODE the 8-bit WP5.1 or Word 6 file into a 7-bit
file, but then the size will be more than 64 KBytes, the maximum file length
in an email message. You would then receive it in at least 2 separate
pieces. I am afraid that would cause you unnecessary headaches.

Please therefore request the ASCII version: "get e-drug whoed026.txt"

In the near future, Healthnet might make its FTP service available: that
will permit requesting and sending 8-bit files.

Sorry to bother you again,
