May I draw your attention to the following vacancy:
Assistant Professor in Pharmacoepidemiologic Methods (Tenure Track) 1.0 FTE
The position involves 30% teaching activities and 70% research time. The core tasks will include:
\* coordinating and teaching Pharmacoepidemiology related courses in the programs of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Innovation and the Pharmacoepidemiology Summer Program;
\* carrying out and supervising research (PhD and MSc) within the scope of the research programme;
\* contributing to the acquisition of substantial external research funding for the benefit of the research programme;
\* a strong contribution from the candidate to (maintaining) cooperation with (inter)national partners in the field of Pharmacoepidemiology.
We are looking for someone who:
\* holds a PhD degree in (Bio)Medical, (Bio)Statistical or Pharmaceutical Science or other relevant research field;
\* has a strong research track record in methodological development/evaluation in observational drug research;
\* has experience in coordinating research projects and/or international research collaborations;
\* has scientific creativity and productivity, as evident in recent publications in (international) peer-reviewed journals;
\* has the ability - and preferably experience with - to acquire research funding;
\* has experience in teaching and/or co-coordinating academic courses;
\* has experience in supervising MSc - and preferably PhD - students;
\* holds a Basic Teaching Qualification (BKO) or is willing to acquire this qualification in the near future;
\* is fluent in English;
\* is effective and efficient, able to work within international/multidisciplinary teams and think conceptually;
\* has good communication skills.
