requested the following job vacancies to be announced in E-drug:
Lecturer
(Clinical Pharmacist)
Requirements: Registration as a pharmacist in South Africa, plus
MPharm, MSc (Med), plus hospital, clinical or teaching experience in
one or more aspects of clinical pharmacy. Responsibilities: Teaching
postgraduate students, coordination and supervision of student
research projects, provision of clinical pharmacy services,
participation in appropriate research. Enquiries: Professor RS

The School of Pharmacy at MEDUNSA will offer the BPharm degree in
partnership with Technikon Pretoria from January 1999. The curriculum
will follow an integrated, thematic, problem-oriented approach. The
university therefore seeks applications from suitably qualified
persons for the following posts whose responsibility (excluding post
5) will be to coordinate and assist with the design and development of
materials for, and the implementation of, modules for the BPharm
degree and to present, facilitate, evaluate and assess progress with
the modules and other elements of the BPharm degree; to participate in
appropriate research.
1. Senior Lecturer
(Joint with Microbiology)
Requirements: At least a Master's degree in an appropriate field of
pharmacy or microbiology, plus teaching/clinical experience.

2. Lecturer
(Joint with Physiology / Nutrition)
Requirements: A Master's degree in an appropriate field of pharmacy,
physiology, biochemistry or nutrition, plus teaching / clinical

3. Senior Lecturer
(Joint with Physiology)
Requirements: At least a Master's degree in an appropriate field of
pharmacy, physiology or biochemistry, plus teaching / clinical

4. Lecturer
(Joint with Medical Physics)
Requirements: A Master's degree in an appropriate field of pharmacy or
physics, plus teaching / practice experience. Enquiries: Professor RS

5. Medical Natural Scientist
Responsibilities: To provide technical and scientific support for
modules of the BPharm programme. Requirements: BPharm or BSc degree
with majors in Chemistry and/or Biology. Experience in pharmacy or a
relevant field. A postgraduate degree in pharmacy will be a strong

6. Senior Lecturer
(Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics)
Requirements: BPharm, with at least a Master's degree in an
