Background

The advent of ARV's has led to a revolution in the management of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in both the developed and developing countries. The supply chain management philosophy is becoming increasingly important in the success of HIV/AIDS treatment programs. In developing countries in particular, treatment programs have been slow in rolling out due to among other things, insufficient skills to effectively manage the HIV/AIDS programs at national level.

IDA Solutions seeks to enhance access to essential medicines by improving pharmaceutical management skills and increasing local capacity in low- and middle-income countries. IDA Solutions(IS)works with public and private sector partners at national and international levels.
