First National Summit on Malaria in Nigeria

The unholy fatal alliance between HIV/AIDS and Malaria will come
on focus at the first ever National Summit on Malaria slated for
the 30th of November at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel and Towers,
Ikeja.
The theme of the one-day intensive Summit is: "The Abuja Decla-
ration (April 2000) on Roll Back Malaria: Nigeria's Journey so
Far". Stakeholders and participants will appraise the efforts
thus far on RBM, and proffer new ways of moving the Initiative
forward and faster.
The event is being hosted by a collaboration of NGOs and public
health advocates who are concerned at the alarming impacts of an
age-long enemy with a killer virus. They include Health Matters
Incorporated, Life-Link Organization, Action Family Network and
Human Aid Global Advocate.
