New CD-ROM: Helping Involve Men (HIM)
-------------------------------------
POPLINE Digital Services is completing another CD-ROM reference title
this month. It is called HIM, for Helping Involve Men. HIM offers an
essential library of documents covering the field of the participa-
tion of men in reproductive health programs. The collection includes
over 10,000 pages of journal articles, case studies, operations re-
search reports, technical reports, and books. Users can locate infor-
mation by browsing a list of subjects or conducting a bibliographic
text search and print out copies of documents with the same appear-
ance as the originals.
The topics covered on the CD-ROM include:
* Gender
* Couples
* Men & Reproductive Health
* IEC & Men
* Institutional Influences
* Future Research
These essential documents will help program officers, NGOs, health
workers, and decision makers design programs and services to increase
and encourage men's participation in reproductive health activities.
A Resources section on the CD-ROM will provide a list of organiza-
tions, LISTSERVs and Web addresses where more information can be
found.
The development, production, and distribution of the HIM CD-ROM was
funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development through the
Men and Reproductive Health Subcommittee of the USAID Gender Working
Group. HIM is being distributed at no cost to policy makers and pro-
gram planners worldwide. To receive your copy, complete and return
the electronic version of the application form on POPLINE's Web site:
