E-DRUG: AIDS, access to essential drugs and Developing Countries

Dear colleagues,
The Foreign Policy in Focus project has just published a new
briefing paper by Robert Weissman entitled: AIDS and
Developing Countries, Democratizing Access to Essential
Medicines.
In Focus briefs document the problems of current
U.S. foreign policy and offer recommendations for alternative
policy directions that would make the United States a more
responsible global partner.
It is a very thoughtful analysis of U.S. policy toward the
growing health crisis in Africa due to HIV/AIDS and the role of U.S.
pharmecutical corporations in denying essential medicine to the
poor in these countries.
