E-DRUG: Pre-publication price analysis of UTW 12th Ed. available
------------------------------------------------------
Dear readers,
MSF's Campaign for Access to Essential Medicines first published a report
on AIDS drug prices in 2001, in response to the lack of transparent
information available for treatment providers to be able to make informed
purchasing decisions. MSF, along with others providing HIV/AIDS treatment
in developing countries, continue to struggle with affordability,
availability and adaptability of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs). Now a pre
publication price analysis of 'Untangling the Web of Antiretroviral Price
Reductions 12 th edition' is available in electronic version on our
website:
http://www.msfaccess.org/fileadmin/user_upload/diseases/hiv-aids/Untangling_the_Web/UntanglingtheWeb12_prepublicationpriceanalysis_July09pdf.pdf
This pricing analysis include key ARVs pricing drop such as efavirenz,
tenofovir, lopinavir/ritonavir, paediatric FDC as well as new announcement
of raltegravir pricing for Category 1 countries (see UTW 11th edition pg
75-76). A more detailed pricing information in the 12 th edition will be
available shortly.
