E-drug: TBnet (00230) Q&A: Improving compliance
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am forwarding this message which I have seen on TB-Net. I think the
question is an interesting one that has relevance beyond TB.

TBnet (00230) Q&A: Improving compliance
---------------------------------------

May I ask those of you who have practical experience of how to
improve patient's compliance under various scenarios to share your
knowledge and skills. There are numerous traditional and
non-traditional methods and I just wanted to put them all together.

For example, in our pilot TB DOTS project in Kazakstan we used to
periodically visit remote areas and perform small TB educational plays
not only for our TB patients but also to general public. This helped us
to improve awareness among local people and point out the
significance of good compliance plus timely case finding.

Thank you. Sincerely,
