Dear e-druggers,
Last month I asked for information about MOCREA on behalf of Dr. Norman
Nyazema of Zimbabwe. Leo Offerhaus wrote back with information about the
Chinese company that makes the product and with a suggestion that it be
sent for analysis to the South African quality control laboratory in
Pretoria or the WHO lab in Harare. Michael Tan offered to inquire about
the product at the International AIDS Conference in Vancouver. Margriet
den Boer gave me the e-mail address of a Chinese mailing list dealing with
all kinds of new Chinese products. Amanda le Grand informed me about a
collaborative project between WHO collaborating centres in Chicago
(University of Illinois) and Sweden (Nat. Bacteriological Lab in Stockholm)
which screen herbal medicines for AIDS.
Thanks to everyone for responding. I relayed all this information on to
Dr. Nyazema and when I hear back from him I will pass on what he has to
say.
