100% prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission

The Swiss National AIDS Research Program recently announced the results
of a national study involving pregnant women and the prevention of
mother-to-child transmission.
The study reports a 100% reduction in mother-to-child transmission,
through a combination of AZT, artificial breast feeding and caesarean.
If the results of this study are confirmed on a larger scale, they will
encourage mandatory (by law) testing in the North.
For the south, they shall hopefully provide international agencies,
government and pharmaceutical industry with additional arguments to
support AZT and artificial milk access programs.
