AF-AIDS Electronic discussion Re-Activated
-------------------------------------------

Dear AFRO-NETS members,

This is to inform those interested that AF-AIDS - the electronic dis-
cussion forum on AIDS and Africa - has been re-activated. The AF-AIDS
forum has now been in operation for over two years, and there are
currently over 2100 members!

As per the original purpose of the forum, AF-AIDS has created a space
for the sharing of information and ideas among members in Africa
around HIV/AIDS. In doing so, AF-AIDS has brought together people
from different locations and backgrounds to discuss common priori-
ties, objectives and current issues.

AF-AIDS has also expanded the dialogue around regional HIV/AIDS-
related conferences, most notably the 11th International Conference
on AIDS in Africa (ICASA), held in Lusaka last year.

We would like to invite old and new members to the forum to partici-
pate in discussions and to comment on future plans for the forum. To
learn more about the plans for the forum, please go to
http://www.hivnet.ch:8000/africa/af-aids/viewR?858

If you would like to join the forum and comment on these plans,
- please send a message to af-aids@hivnet.ch
- to browse previous postings or post new messages, go to
http://www.hivnet.ch:8000/africa/af-aids/

We are happy to announce this very important effort and look forward
to your participation on the forum.

The forum is managed by Health & Development Networks (www.hdnet.org)
on behalf of the Foundation du Present (www.fdp.org), with the support
of the Ford Foundation (www.fordfound.org)
