neva today, Nov. 7, 2005 to seek consensus for action on the
Avian flu and forestall a global human influenza pandemic

Solomon Sackitey, Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist at a
Global Animal Health Corporation in the United States and DLHA
Volunteer Sub-Editor for West Africa comprehensively examines
the epidemiology of this highly pathogenic flu and the prepared-
ness measures that Africa needs to put in place for its contain-
ment.
