African AIDS Service Organizations
----------------------------------
The Global Health Council is currently compiling a list of AIDS ser-
vice organizations around the African continent who are active in
providing HIV prevention, care and treatment services. This list will
help us to better advocate for enhanced funding for HIV/AIDS programs
in Africa. In many circumstances, when care, treatment and prevention
are discussed, hesitant policy makers bemoan the lack of health in-
frastructure in Africa - and cite this as a key reason for not in-
vesting in HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs for countries in Af-
rica.
It is our intention to promote the existence of those institutions
and community-based organizations around Africa who are actively pro-
viding HIV prevention, care and treatment programs. We know that your
organization is a vital link in the health care infrastructure in
your county.
Please help us promote your work by letting us know who you are:
