The World Public Health Nutrition Association (https://wphna.org/) is pleased to announce a paper writing contest for its journal World Nutrition (https://worldnutritionjournal.org/index.php/wn).
World Nutrition is open access but does not charge authors. Its costs are covered by WPHNA membership fees and thus it is also free from conflicts of interest—and it welcomes more controversial papers than other journals are typically willing to consider publishing. The journal also provides free editorial and English language excellence services. Each published paper receives a unique DOI, which enables all words in its title, key words, and abstract to be searchable in Google Scholar and many academic websites. WN uses a double blinded peer review process for research papers and literature reviews. (Commentary, letters to the editor, and book reviews are also welcome, but will not be entered into the contest.)
Six papers submitted during the period July 20, 2020 to February 10, 2021 will be chosen as winners by a panel of WPHNA judges, one winner from each of the following parts of the world:
Africa
Asia
The Pacific (including Australia and New Zealand)
Latin America
North America
Europe
The winners will receive a three-year free membership in WPHNA, worth from 60-150 Euros, depending on part of the world. Winning papers will be announced in the first issue of WN for 2021, which will be published at the end of March.
Manuscripts should be submitted here, where authors will also find instructions:
