Greetings:
My name is Elizabeth Ogren, and I would like to suggest that you post
information regarding the courses, or any other special events con-
ducted by your organisation - any workshops, short courses or other
events related to Public Health Management, and lasting three months or
less, on the Calendar section of the Electronic Resource Center being
developed by Management Sciences for Health, an international health
organisation.
The Electronic Resource Center (ERC) is being developed as a resource
for health professionals around the world, particularly those in devel-
oping countries, and those interested in reproductive health and child
survival issues.
The ERC is a web site, but is also available via e-mail through Health-
Net users, a software developed by one of our partners, SatelLife. The
ERC has several facets: a library, a member database, a calendar, a
learning exchange, and conferences. As we are still developing much of
the ERC, many of these facets are still under construction, however the
Calendar section is up and running.
You can post the courses to our calendar yourself, simply by going to
our web site at:
http://erc.msh.org/calendar/
and then submit your event.
You will be prompted to include information such as a brief descrip-
tion, location, fees, sponsoring organisation(s), abstract or early
registration deadlines, contact information, address, telephone, fax,
and any URL associated with the event.
Also, We are now developing a database of organisations which provide
training in public health management, and we would like to include your
organisation. You can post the information directly to our web site. Go
to:

and follow the instructions. Please note that while the instructions
are in English, you may submit information in either French or Spanish
as well.
For the organisation database, please be prepared to include the fol-
lowing information:
- The name of your organisation
- Types of programs offered (courses of 1 - 5 days, distance or com-
puter-based education, etc.)
- A description of your organisation
- The region(s) and countries where events are held
- Topic of events/courses
- Certification available
- Participants' qualifications
- A general description of courses or events
- Application/Registration Process
- The average daily cost of attendance
- Description of available funding
- Contact name
- Postal address and street address
- Phone Number, Telex, Fax, E-mail, URL
