British Medical Journal - on-line
------------------------------------------
The British Medical Association and the BMJ Publishing Group have
announced that the full text of the British Medical Journal is now
available on-line on Internet at:
The on-line journal contains the full content of each weekly issue of
the journal, including all figures and tables. In addition, the full
text is searchable by keyword, and the cited references include hy-
perlinks to MEDLINE and to the on-line full text of many other fre-
quently-cited journals.
On-line full-text content currently begins with the July 1997 issues,
and will expand with each week's new issue. In addition, several
years' archive is being added through the remainder of 1998, so that
full-text content from five or more years will be on-line at the end
of 1998. All on-line content is searchable.
The full-text articles on the site are free and available to all at
this time.
The site is being produced in conjunction with Stanford University's
HighWire Press, which also works with other medical/research jour-
nals, such as Pediatrics, the Journal of Clinical Investigation, the
American Journal of Physiology, Science Magazine, the Blood, Gastro-
enterology, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. A
list of 50 on-line journals and URLs is available at:
