New Computer-Based Learning Tool Available for Improving Quality of
Health care

The Quality Assurance Project today launched their award-winning, multi-
media Quality Assurance Theory and Tools (QA Kit), a CD-ROM product
designed specifically to help health professionals evaluate and improve
quality of health care.

A practical solution for organizations with limited resources, teaching
staff, and funding, the QA Kit provides a step-by-step guide for proc-
ess and program analysis, redesign, and evaluation to strengthen compe-
tencies and improve organizational performance.

The QA Kit offers ten computerized tools, case studies, and QA training
and resources. Features include easy-to-use navigation and instruc-
tional presentations; cause-and-effect diagrams; time line and Gantt
charts; specialized matrices; and budget, survey, flowchart, and system
modeling tools. The product also contains a comprehensive collection of
publications and training materials, a built-in interface with direct
links to key QA web sites, a glossary of QA terms, and a computer
tutorial for new computer users.
