DOTS in Zimbabwe (2)
--------------------

Thanks for replying my mail.

I was recently looking at the literature concerning cost-effectiveness
of TB management in developing countries lately. I was made to believe
that a well designed DOTS programme can significantly improve TB cure
rates at relatively less costs.

I totally agree with your practical comments and I also think that DOTS
can be introduced in those areas where coverage by primary facilities
is reasonable. As a Zimbabwean I am happy to see people like you making
efforts to improve our health system. I would be happy to hear of any
developments in Chegutu regarding TB management. What is the situation
now with HIV/AIDS? It must be a horrific scenario.

Happy working in Chegutu.
