WHO Press Release from Global Commission on TB (2)
--------------------------------------------------

To the best of my knowledge, Zimbabwe does not use DOTs. Can somebody
from Zimbabwe comment on this. What are the technical arguments for not
using it. It seems there is overwhelming evidence that it is cost-
effective -- considering both patient and provider costs. Depending on
how the programme is designed some commentators argue that it puts a
heavy burden on the patient in terms of direct and indirect costs.
