Call for Proposals
Dear Sir, Madam,
The vicious circle of disease and poverty causes a fundamental
public health and economic crisis in developing countries, par-
ticularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. HIV/AIDS, malaria and tubercu-
losis (TB) alone account for more than five million deaths every
year, 95% of these in the developing world. The European & De-
veloping Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) is a re-
sponse for more and better research and development activities
to fight the three diseases. To this respect EDCTP has issued
our first Call for Proposals.
Regarding this call, we are focusing on accelerating controlled
clinical trials for drugs against the targeted diseases. The
deadline for receipt of completed applications is 9th of April
