We are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Director - Research, Africa (Position Location: Kenya)

Provides leadership, management and oversight in support of FHI's research and research utilization activities throughout Africa. Main responsibilities and duties include: Participate in planning and developing clinical, epidemiological, health service, behavioral and other research projects and activities, particularly those undertaken in the Africa Region; Provide scientific leadership, establish regional research goals and objectives and manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of research systems, projects and services; Directly supervise research and research utilization staff; Help establish and coordinate systems for providing needed technical assistance on research and research to practice findings and methodologies and directly provide technical assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
MD/PhD or equivalent degree in relevant field and 7-9 years of relevant experience. 5 years research supervisory experience.
