HISA Congress 2000

Dear Colleagues,
The HISA 2000 Congress will be held on the 21-23 September in Bloem-
fontein, South Africa. The theme of the congress will be "Sharing of
Experiences". The congress is hosted by the Free State regional group
of SAHIA, the South African Health Informatics Association.
During the past two years numerous information systems have been im-
plemented or are in the process of implementation, in both the public
and private health sectors. During the implementation process numer-
ous lessons are learnt in terms of what to do and what not to do. The
purpose of the congress is to provide people who are involved in or
who are interested in the implementation of information systems in
the health arena to come and share experiences and to learn from each
other. It is also an invaluable opportunity to network with col-
leagues.
The congress organisers are calling for paper and poster presenta-
tions. We are eager to hear from you and look forward to learning
from you about good and bad experiences.
