[afro-nets] Infectious Diseases Fellowship available

The deadline for the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) Scientific Exchange Fellowship Program is March 1. This Fellowship was established to enable infectious disease researchers in the formative stage of their careers to extend their research experience in institutions outside of their region. These awards are intended to support young scientists from developing countries in updating their knowledge of new, relevant laboratory techniques or in learning specific skills and techniques.

Applicants are to be investigators (younger than 40 years) already working in a research area, but who have not had the opportunity to work or to study outside their countries or region.

Funding will be provided for up to 3 months and up to US $7,500.

Upon completion of the project, a written report of the project must be sent to the Society. The Society encourages recipients of grants to present their results at scientific meetings and to submit them for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
