Information: Nestle Nutrition Institute for Africa (2)
------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir/Madam,
With reference to the 'Role' of the Institute you have mentioned "the
Institute's mission therefore does not include, overtly or cov-
ertly, the promotion of any particular food products in any of the
life cycle stages." If this is the case, would you kindly rename it
as 'African Institute for Nutrition' or any other similar name. The
name itself "Nestle Nutrition Institute for Africa" signifies you are
VERY OVERTLY promoting Nestle.
Further you have mentioned, "in clarifying the Institute's mission
and aims, the Board hopes that any confusion which may have been cre-
ated will not be allowed to tarnish the image of an African initia-
tive managed by scientists with the said defined mission and aims."
It's obvious that NNIA is NOT an African initiative but it's a Nestle
initiative for Africa (it's anybody's guess for what).
Yours sincerely,
S. K. Nayak.
