[afro-nets] Invitation to join Kenyan Ambassador to the US at Boston HIV/AIDS Benefit on 7 July 2007

Dear Friends,

Here is a wonderful event taking place next weekend (July 7th), which hopefully many of you can attend. It is linked with the "Grassroots Initiative", a collaborative composed of nonprofits in New England and the USA working with or on behalf of organizations and endeavors in Kenya and Africa addressing HIV/AIDS, especially the care and needs of children and youth.

Please pass this along to anyone who might be interested, and below see all details and contact information. With thanks and best wishes, Janet Feldman (kaippg@earthlink.net)

Please join the African Health Foundation for an evening with His Excellency Peter N.R.O. Ogego, Ambassador of Kenya to the United States. Ambassador Ogego is a generous supporter of programs for children affected by HIV/AIDS-- help us to honor the commitment of His Excellency to supporting grassroots organizations that care for AIDS orphans.

The evening will include dinner and a concert by the inspiring Reverends Velma Lovelace and Wendy Michael. Proceeds will benefit nutrition, education, and clean-water projects in rural western Kenya.

Location: Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Road, Framingham, MA 01702
