News on healthtraining.org
--------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
I invite you to have a closer look at the recently updated
http://www.healthtraining.org website, Medicus Mundi Switzer-
land's internet inventory of postgraduate training opportuni-
ties.
The website:
healthtraining.org provides comprehensive information on post-
graduate training and further education in the field of Interna-
tional Health. Started in 1996, the inventory now includes about
600 courses offered by over 150 schools worldwide.
Working with healthtraining.org is an easy way to identify the
course which is most appropriate for an individual or an organi-
sation seeking training opportunities in International Health,
using the possibilities offered by the Web: frequent and fast
updates, direct access from all over the world, online search-
ing, links to institution's e-mail and homepage.
What's new:
Since February 2004, a "Window of the Schools" is opened every
month at the news page of healthtraining.org. We started this
feature with ICDDR,B, The Centre for Health and Population Re-
search in Dhaka, Bangladesh (February) and AMREF, the African
Medical and Research Foundation in Nairobi, Kenya (March). On
the news page, you also find a list of the most recent course
updates. And, last but not least, a full text search has been
added to the inventory's search engine.
Providers, partners, references:
healthtraining.org is provided by Medicus Mundi Switzerland, the
Swiss network of organisations dealing with International
Health. Since the beginning of this project, healthtraining.org
has been actively supported by the Health Desk of the Swiss
Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). And since then,
healthtraining.org also benefits from support and various inputs
by the Swiss Tropical Institute.
healthtraining.org is based on own research and contacts to
schools as well as on many different sources, such as the
TropEdEurop Courses Inventory, the Going International Course
Catalogue, and the Humanitarian Assistance Training Inventory.
Your Feedback is wanted:
To help us in further developing our inventory and make it as
useful as possible we need your feedback. Visiting healthtrain-
ing.org, please take a minute and fill out the online feedback
form. Many thanks!
With best regards,
