[afro-nets] PDAs for data collection (10)

Dear All,

With the dawn of information technology, medical technics and methods can be more easily made available to grassroot areas at reasonably cheap prices.

We can get a lot from using our mobile gadgets (phones and PDAs) for field work and data collections in resource limited settings. There is a good software for this, and it has a simple manual we can all master in about 5 hours. This is the episurveyor. It can be downloaded free at: http://www.datadyne.org/?q=episurveyor/home. It also has template forms you can simply modify and use, if you are not ready to delve into the maze of designing from blank sheets.

This is a very good tool which we can adapt to help us monitor and evaluate primary health care services like vaccinations, deworming programmes and others!

Prasidh Ramson, I am sure this will work for you too!
