Reference Library: Socio Economic HIV/AIDS Issues
-------------------------------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
The Health Economics and HIV/AIDS Research Division (HEARD) at the
University of Natal, Durban (South Africa) has been keeping useful
items in it's Resource Centre since the Division was established in
1998.
The collection is now quite unwieldy, and we've begun to think about
how we might arrange the Resource Centre (which we've recently re-
named a Reference Library, because we've begun to realise just how
valuable - and unique - this collection is to researchers and stu-
dents alike) into a more searchable and accessible format (i.e. have
the collection entered into a searchable database and catalogue the
collection somewhat more systematically than it is currently). In the
long term, we would aim to have the collection searchable on the
internet.
I was wondering if anyone out there has a similar collection who has
already developed a set of keywords and categories? The DEWEY system
doesn't appear to have anything of the sort. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Lucinda Franklin
