Dear Jo Lines and other list members,

We actually make a point out of selling to local manufacturers, due
to the fact that the fabric standard recommended and used by the WHO
is rarely found around Africa and needs to be imported.

Many local manufacturers use cotton to make nets and your point is
perfectly correct that this is better than nothing at all. Imported
fabric is often much too expensive due to the, in many countries,
still existing import taxes.

Local fabrication employs people, creates economy and will push a de-
veloping country in the right direction.
