RFI: Training of trainers systems (2)
-------------------------------------
Do you have a successful model of a training-of-trainers ("training
cascade") system?
Dear friends:
I have done something like that in Israel and in the USA. The best
way is to get all the participants together for 2 days. The first
day, you work on their own attitudes toward AIDS and prevention, and
the next day should be devoted to learning the program, and learning
techniques of teaching and group work. Then, you send them to the
field, but get them together a few times a year for a booster session
and dealing with problems.
Together with Dr. Mukuka from the University of Zambia, we have a big
research project on adolescents and AIDS in urban and rural Zambia. I
will visit Zambia in April, and will be more that happy to visit your
program, and help in any way I can.
Yours,
Dr. Vered Slonim-Nevo
