Sexual health youth projects - using illiterate peer educators
--------------------------------------------------------------

I hope readers can help here with examples of their own experience,
or suggestions of examples of good practice that they have heard of.

The dilemma some of our partner organisations face is how to use il-
literate peer educators in young people's sexual health projects when
faced with increasing demands (donor driven) for detailed quantita-
tive monitoring reporting.

Pictorial reporting formats are well and good, but limited in terms
of information gathered, and even these are sometimes difficult to
work with. In the context of financial constraints, we are looking
for practical ways to assist illiterate peer educators in gathering
information on their activities (numbers reached, referred etc.).

Any experiences, or simply thoughts on this matter are welcomed.

Many thanks,
